The DRAGONSKIN™ technology has demonstrated reduced edge affected zone increasing effective area of coverage provided by the ceramic discs. Increased edge hit capability = increased protection.
The DRAGONSKIN™ technology offers vastly greater amounts of coverage options. It is the first body armor system that can be tailored to be mission specific up covering the entire torso. The DRAGONSKIN™ technology can eliminate ricochets' from obliquity/angled shots up to 60 degrees. The rigid plates have ricochet shots starting at approximately 35°. This too increases soldier survivability by reducing the probability of on soldier being shot and the projectile ricocheting off them and into the next soldier injuring or fatally wounding him/her.
